Hampton Inn coming to town

— Have you ever thought about visiting Costa Rica again just because the bed you slept on at the Hampton Inn was so great?
Well, get ready to vacation right here in your hometown because the Hampton Inn & Suites applied for a building permit Wednesday.
That permit, according to City Inspector Dennis Lalli, could be approved within a week, with construction starting soon afterward.
“It’s a $6.5 million project with 99 rooms,” Lalli said of the four-story building. “The engineering department has already reviewed the permit and now it’s in the fire department for their review.
“Then we’ll review it, but we’re sure it will be fine. We don’t anticipate any problems with it.”
The new hotel will be at 711 S. George Nigh Expwy., right between Mazzio’s and Goodwill — perfect for people who have shopped and ate and want to take a nap.
Speaking of that nap, Hampton Inn & Suites features “Cloud Nine. The Hampton Bed Experience,” which, according to the Web site, “does away with the old fashioned bedspread, featuring instead a crisp, white duvet cover, enveloping a plush down-like comforter.
“The white sheets are 200-thread count with a fitted bottom sheet.
“The bed features three or four pillows (depending on room type) providing consumers a choice in firmness and a lumbar pillow in a soothing color that provides guests back support.”
The hotel line also offers an On the House hot breakfast and On the Run breakfast bags, Purity Basics bath products and a curved shower road.
Also, complimentary high-speed Internet access and what it calls “the industry’s easiest-to-set alarm clock/radio.”
Hampton is part of the Hilton family of hotels. Guests can earn Hilton H Honors hotel points and airline miles for each eligible stay.
